Steller Jay Creative is excited to offer a variety of classes throughout the year. From Friday Night Lights Stop Motion Animation, to Early Release Wednesdays, to No School Days, and weekend Fine Arts, we have a class that will fit your schedule and needs. Steller Jay Creative camps are welcoming, inclusive, and designed to support creativity, confidence, and collaboration for all types of learners.

This summer’s offerings include a mix of full-day camps (9am to 2pm) and half-day classes (AM or PM), designed to meet a wide range of interests, ages, and experience levels:

ALL STOP MOTION ANIMATION CAMPS
Meet up at Steller Jay Creative Studios for a deep dive into one of the world’s most engaging and awesome art forms. Young artists will design miniature sets, characters, and stories using materials like LEGO®, clay, paint, magnets, hot glue, dry-erase pens, and green screens. Filmmakers will learn stop-motion techniques and storytelling strategies to create original animated short films that they can keep and share for a lifetime. This class is for beginners. Limited space. Led by Mr. Jay. All technology and materials provided.

This immersive four-day summer camp is designed for intermediate stop-motion animators ready to refine their craft. Students work in pairs planning, designing, and producing polished animated short films. Using materials such as clay, LEGO®, paint, whiteboards and green screens, filmmakers will construct detailed sets and characters while learning industry-standard animation and storytelling techniques. Each student leaves with digital copies of completed films. All technology and materials provided. Taught by Mr. Jay.

This awesome immersion and into the world of stop motion animation is built for all artists and filmmakers. Time will be spent hand building sets, characters, and environments where you will shoot your incredible stop motion films. Working in teams, with the use of hot glue, clay, Legos, paint, and any other building materials, students will create environments and characters by hand, reflective of their creative themes and ideas. At the end of camp, all students will have a completed and original film to show their friends and family. Space is limited. Led by Mr. Jay and Miss Cami Green, good times await. Lunch and games in Orchard Park.

FINE ARTS
Steller Jay Creative Arts Camp, led by Mrs. Cami Green takes students on a immersive, artistic journey, exploring painting, printmaking, collage, and other hands on art forms while having a great time playing creative games and meeting new friends. Prepare to get messy, create and take home awesome artwork, enjoy games and lunch at the park, and laugh a lot. With a supportive 7:1 teacher-student ratio, led by Ms. Cami Green and Alicia Vickery, expect support and tons of fun. Space is limited—let the creative explosion begin!

Inspired by Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, and the whimsical world of Paul Klee, young artists will expand and explore their imaginations, while completing the class with masterpieces of their own. Led by Ms. Cami Green, all materials are included. Dress for hands-on, messy fun, and get ready to unleash your creativity!

Bring the inner world to life! Exploring the colors, patterns, and symbols inspired by Faith Ringgold, Laurel Burch, and Frida Kahlo, young artists will explore the the power of storytelling through imagery, creating paintings, drawings, and mixed media masterpieces of their own. Led by Ms. Cami Green, this camp is full of self-expression, friendship, and playful exploration as students share their creativity and ideas in a fun, supportive space.

Step into the bold, boundary-breaking worlds of Picasso, Klimt, and Kandinsky! Young creatives will experiment with patterns, colors, and abstract ideas while creating eye-catching masterpieces of their own. Led by Ms. Cami Green, students will take creative risks, collaborate with friends, and let their imaginations soar in an inspiring, hands-on environment.

Inspired by the styles of some of the world greatest artists, young creatives will paint, draw and get very messy creating a forest of different “Trees of Life”. They will explode off the canvas with color, beauty, and meaning. Examining the styles of Van Gogh, Klimt, Picasso, Warhol, and Pollock, students will play with a wide variety of materials, making masterpieces of their own. Led by Ms. Cami Green, students will play creative games, collaborate with friends, and bring imaginative trees to life through hands-on, fun-filled projects!

Are you ready to step behind the camera and bring your stories to life? Join us at the Steller Jay Creative Studios for an exciting, hands-on film camp where you’ll learn the art of filmmaking from start to finish! This class is for all levels of emerging movie makers. Whether you dream of being a director, a cinematographer, an actor or just love being creative, this camp is perfect for you. Spend the week writing, developing, casting, filming and editing original works relative to your creative style. At camp’s end, we will have a mini film festival to celebrate each other’s work. All materials and technology are provided.

Students design and construct their own custom chess or checkerboard from the ground up—planning layouts, measuring, building, and problem-solving along the way. Campers sculpt and design unique kings, queens, and game pieces with limitless creative possibilities. We’ll wrap up with a friendly tournament, celebrating both creative design and smart gameplay.
